About

Who is Steel Dolphin?

MeSteel Dolphin is really Chris Arlidge, a man born in Calgary, Alberta (but he grew up in Edmonton), we won’t say when he was born because he is getting to that age where he is sensitive about how old he really is. Chris now lives and works in Kelowna, British Columbia and loves it.

Chris has worked in the graphic design industry for over 10 years and for the past year and a half has had the distinct pleasure and honor to work as a Senior Creative Designer at a very progressive, top-quality design firm known as Acro Media. He has recently stepped back into the world of freelance work taking on some new and exciting projects.

Previous to his employment at Acro Media, Chris ran his own business working with clients locally and internationally. Chris has won awards for his artwork and design as well as being published in several art and design works.

Chris’s other projects on line include, Vectortown, Graphic-Junkies, and the Steel Dolphin Art and Design Forum.

Let’s Get Personal

Okay so we know what Chris does for work, and where he lives, so if you are interested the following paragraphs dig deeper and maybe provide a more accurate sketch of who he really is.

There was a time when he was very young he lived a few years in Winnipeg, Manitoba - he was known for stripping down to his underwear and riding his Big Wheel around the block, amazing the neighbors with his physique, and natural grace. Not much has changed since then other than the fact that he is too big for the Big Wheel.

Besides enjoying painting, drawing, and design he has been known to snap a few pictures as well as do a little writing.
